Whats Geale got to do?

I agree Geale needs to start mocking mandy every chance he gets to the media & verbally challenge him on the networks...........that seems the only way to get noticed by the general media in Oz..........turn up to the press conferences aka David Haye style
& start turning the media back on to mandy as to why he won't shut this man up n fight him again.........only then the general public will realise that Geale is a legit world champion n mandy is what he is............a big mouth with no heart for real fights.

 

It wouldn't have mattered what he did, he was already well known to all. Which is my whole point.

Exactly, all of us. Even the people who don't follow boxing know who he is because of football.

No amount of crap and self promotion will lure the layman into boxing.
Mandy is where is today because of football, nothing more. His fans followed him.

That's just it, I don't think he can market himself as such. If he did, he really would be whoring. You know as well as I do that Geale isn't even up to it. Decent people usually aren't.

Peronally I don't think he will unify, too tough these days, for many reasons.
But, he will get another belt and bigger fights, with it some more coin. You can count on it.

What I'm saying is that the media whoring and being someone you are not isn't the right way. I'm pretty confident Geale shares that opinion, otherwise he'd be bitching to the media a lot more than he does, somewhat like Mandy I guess. And like I said above, it most probably would do nothing for him anyway because he hasn't had the kick start of football.

Well he has actually. Geale has mentioned Mandy many times prior to fighting, even calling him chicken, etc. IMO even that's too far, and look where it got him anyway.

True enough, but he has already been paid more than 90% of fighters in OZ, and he's likely to make somewhat more still.
As I said in an earlier post, he won't make as much as Mandy has, but he'll do ok.

Geale and his management just need to man up, show some respect, realise their place in the scheme of things and FIGHT SOLIMAN!!!!

 

Soliman brings nothing to the table. He is an expense that brings a pointlees result. He will get flogged, and is a step down for Geale. Sam and his money hungry crew have no money to make the fight happen, and would have their hands out all the way to the 12th round.

I reckon the Grange crew will be investing their money in bringing more titles back to oz.

Soliman brings character and interest. He has a name. Geale has promised this and that but due to his dour image and total lack of reality as to their position have done squat. the Grange acty as if its the NRL, the best get paid the most. Not so. make it interesting.

Geale talked about fighters having 'to get their ranking up' Soliman is rated ahead of Martinez in the IBF 160, and is the next rated contender. have fought eliminators and deserves a shot. Geale and Grange needs to open there eyes.

 

You misunderstand. Geale needs to be paid, so does soliman. Soliman is an unneccesary expense. Main events of this expense require cash via management or sponsors. Sam has neither
Geale promised what? He has the IBF title, Sam doesnt, and understandabley sam would like a shot at it for the $$$ factor. Sam is pretty much done, and has no promoters banging down his doors. Why would The Grange waste their time? Particularly with the fights on Daniels roster in the next year.
