Jermaine Taylor clearly won that fight! Shane Mosley gave Cotto a cracking punch up.

Yet both the score cards heavily favoured the bigger fighters.

The way I see it, when it goes to the cards you have to judge who landed the most punches, no? Jermaine Taylor regularly landed the fast, powerful clean punches...great combinations.

Pavlik couldn't knock him out with his fewer but harder shots, so how did he win the fight?

This decision was even worse than the Cotto - Mosley result which represented a Cotto whitewash, which was far from reality.

Boxing needs to sort itself out! Jermaine Taylor won that fight.

Merge it with another one then but I can't see any thread complaining about the standard of judges in both the Cotto-Mosley and Pavlik-Taylor fights.

Erm I thought it was pretty much the other way round. I saw Pavlik landing more, but Taylor landing the better shots, but hey, it was late.

i agree that the scores in both fights were more lopsided than they should of been but they got the right winner both times and thats the main thing

    no no no no...

The fights were close eather way... how can anyone complain?

Mosley wouldnt even say he thought he won right after the fight... and even if you think he won it, by no means was it not close enough that somebody scoring it differantly then you could have scored it for cotto.

and this fight was close... i dont possibly see how this couldnt have been viewed a close fight by anyone. Pavlik won the 12th round and i think he won the fight because of it.

You want to see bad decisions.... watch casamayor cruz, forrest ike, beyer lucas,

These two were simply close contested fights, given to the champion.

JT did win this fight .... everyone watching the fight with me at the bar thought so to including Kassim Ouma. But it wasnt a robbery on the other hand. Close fight but I dont think Kelly lsnded thst many right hands as they were all blocked. I favoured JT's cleaner harder punches.

I think it's just a wrong perception and the counter proof would be that Pavlik and Cotto were the favourites after all. Maybe just the most biased supporters for the favourites look for a clear win for their fighters and the underdogs make it a very, very much closer contest than expected... So that means that they should have been given the verdict just because they proved the extreme prediction wrong? No, I don't think so... Rounds should be fairly given according to punch output, clean punching and aggression and not to the better-looking, superior boxing stylist, flashier-eye catching but still innefective hitter... Mosley made it a close contest in the latter stages coming from behind and Taylor fought toe to toe and was ahead/even into the end stretch but that doesn't make it a win for them... Just that they looked well in defeat against the top middle and one of the two top welters and that is not bad.

Bull****. Pavlik won clearly. He landed more punches by a wide margina and also landed more power punches.

The way some on here are making it out as if pav got outclassed,it was ****ing tight as hell, but for me he won by 2-3 rounds, the judges scroes were a bit weird, but then thats judges for you,the black womans score of 115-113 is about right for me,also JT did not moan or say ****,you think if it they had giving it to pav and he in fact lost by a mile,JC and his cormer would have not kicked up a fuss?,get real it was a hard fight thats all, respect to both men

It's amazing how many people don't know how to score fights. Even more amazing when you consider the fact that Mosley and Taylor both said they didn't think they won their fights afterwards. What's going on in Boxing is, for whatever reason, it seems to be trendy to lable close, yet clear fights, as "robberies" creating controversy where it isn't needed. Mosley and Taylor conceded, you should too. Just wondering, did you have Williams beating Quintana as well?

Fair enough mate,it was tight could have gone either way,but for me pavs aggresion and him coming forward all the time won it for him,in the 11th round he had JT in trouble with a good bodyshot
