I can understand losing to Nery is dispiriting, but it's not the end of the world; yet Crazy A is coming up for 15 months without a fight. Anyone know anything? Promotional issues? Injury? Any drug rumours? What's the story with Azat, anyone know?
Hes had a though career and the Nery fight was his last shot at world glory. Now he is 35 and coming off of a brutal KO. I think he just gave up, the loss seems to have broken him. Because before that he was gloating about his high rankings and really wanted a title shot. There was a rumored comeback fight but that fell off for whatever reason. Plus he is a family man who seems to have made some decent money. But I think he will be back for one more try.
He was supposed to fight on the Munguia-Ryder fight, but his fight was called off and haven't heard anything since. Azat vs Casimero would be pretty good as a final crossroads for both.
