Drozd was injured, made champion emeritus or recess or some such utter bull****, but all through 2015 there were stories his injured shoulder was on the mend. Then 2016 goes by with one story about him training but suffering shoulder pair; then he says in early 2017 that he's back in training, ready to fight.

Now, nothing, just silence. Anyone got an eye on him on Twitter or any live in Russia, got an eye on him, anything?

a shame.... Drozd was incredibly skilled, before Usyk burst on the scene he just might have been the most skilled operator in the CW division(yes, maybe even more skilled than Lebedev who is an extremely underrated technician) the two fighting a year or two go would have been a real chess match. Now it's hard to see the older Drozd showing up with the same kind of form he had 3-4 years ago.

He's been sidelined by injury for a while.

Earlier this year Suliaman said that Drozd had decided to retire, but Drozd contradicted that soon after.

So he's not retired, but I wouldn't be surprised if he decides to do so officially next year.

Doubt you'll see much of Drozd again

I think he is going to retire, and for me it was expected. He is 38 years old, and he has not trained for the past two years. Now he works as a commentator for the Russian sports channel, and, perhaps, he will make a farewell fight
