Guys, I thought that Arum was looking to place Ike on the undercard of the Pac/Bradley fight in April against Andy Ruiz. Does anybody have any news on Ike?

Ike, ? He cracked in his early 20's for crying out load. Wtf is he capable of in his mud facking 40's ???? Arum was just trying anything to break even on the pac/Bradley fight.

I'm pretty sure pac is guaranteed upwards of 20m. How is arum gonna break even??? Not by trying to add a sideshow like this garbage.

I got an idea, arum should make tyson fight ike, two of the most hyped mythical fighters of all time. Hell, if they were half as good as their crazed fans claim, they should be able to get in shape and put on a show. Aren't they from t h e same era

Ike had tremendous unrealized physical potential and stylistically was a combo of Tyson and Holyfield but because he is a nutjob he didn't get to realize his potential. It's not fair to Tyson to compare the two because as nutty as Tyson was/is, he at least became champ (at 20 which is insane and a record that may never be broken) and defended the title 9 times before going to prison and winning back two belts. Tyson is in the Hall of Fame and Ike is in the Hall of Shame. Having stated that, I would find his comeback to be intriguing and will definitely tune in if and when he resumes his career.

I could've seen Ike pass what tyson did. Tyson was a tremendous disappointment, for the skills they created and for such a clear and easy path, he fell far short of what he should've been.

Obviously, those 3 years in prison ended him as a fighter while Ike prison sentence ended any chance of him winning a title.

Tyson beating Berwick for the title at 20 was a great start but he burnt too quick for me to rate him as an atg anything besides atg crazy person outside the ring.

He's more known for his craziness because he cracked early. The real reason people love tyson and pretend he was a true atg was because he was pumped so high so quick then crashed so hard for so long. Him having everything beaten out of him and him going so soft is why he has that fake love from mostly fake people

I hear you and I am not implying that Tyson didn't self destruct and fail to reach his potential but at least he was a two time champ and defended his title multiple times and dominated his era for 4 years. Ike never even fought for a title let alone became champ before he self destructed and went to prison for umpteen years. The comparison isn't exactly apples to apples. That's my main point man.

Probably shouldn't be given a licence.
A mentally unstable ex-convict who has been out of the ring for 17 years, probably 45 years old or more.
    Not good.

The ONLY HW that I would say would have beaten Ike in his prime was Lennox Lewis. He never had the chance to fight for the title though.
When you look at the facts of both Mike & Ike's convictions, not the media BS, both guys were innocent of what they were charged with. Sure neither were Angels or pillars of society BUT both deserved a fair trial, Neither of them got that though
Any man kept heavily sedated for 14 months is sure to have some mental problems after I'd say

Ike would have been HW champ following Lennox Neither Klitschko would have beaten him

How does Ike beat Vitali? Going life and death with Tua suggests no such thing, but maybe that's just me. :conf

He might have even beaten Lewis because of the chin factor. Ike had ridiculous talent and could beat dudes at their own game. He didn't have to fight Tua the way he did, but he chose to and still won. He was kind of like a Lebron James for boxing. Lebron is viewed as an amalgamation of two prior greats in Magic and Jordan. Ike stylistically was like a combo of Tyson and Holyfield. He may not have turned out as great as either one of them (we'll never know), but in the era he was fighting in, it might not have mattered. Just to be 80% as good as they were in their prime would have been enough to possibly have beaten all of the dudes including Lewis and the Klitschkos. He definitely would have had a great shot at it at the very least. Of course, if his mental issues ever spilled over into his boxing performances that would have been a major problem of course.
