MGM Scotland still have a couple of shows coming up with a healthy stable of boxers. One in Glasgow later on this month and then one in Edinburgh in May.
MGM have been banned from the Banana Republic of Ireland due to gunmen attacking a recent weigh-in they held in a Dublin hotel.
They are very busy up in Scotland - more shows than any other promoters. All boxers are being kept busy up here. Plus Butcher boxing for the Commonwealth in May! Maybe down to the individual promoters under the MGM banner?
i saw one of the shows in scotland they are poor no competitive fights and i heard iain butcher has forced the essomba fight as he threatened to walk away from his contract if he didnt get the fight
really do they? i'm sure a lot of their fighters consider themeselves mgm marbella not scotland as they dont like the guy who runs the scotland branch and never signed with him they signed with marbella
thats disgusting isnt it. there is no place for drug people like that in boxing it brings things into disrepute
was told by one of the mgm fighters the guy in scotland is in with gary jacobs who is hated up there as a police informer and a drug dealing fraudster. the scotland base is just a white collar gym run by a washed up white collar fighter no place for those clowns in boxing. morrison and gilmour are still the main men in scotland. limond is doing good stuff too. paul graham had a good show on not long back. mgm scotland are a joke. just a white collar gym thats all
