Has anyone heard what's going on with Michael Marrone? He was scheduled to fight Italian Francesco Pianeta in Germany on Jan 16th for some Junior Heavy weight title. It didn't happen and according to BoxRec for a while the fight was re-scheduled for Feb 26th. Now it appears Pianeta is fighting sone other guy. Has anyone heard or seen anything? It's soon a year since Marrone had a fight the last time. Is he done with boxing or did he get injured or something? It's really hard to find anything about him from the net. Thanks in advance for any info you might be able to give!
Marrone is still irrelevant at the HW scene, that's why there's no news on him. I guess his team realized he is still not ready for a step up and just chickened out of his fight with Pianeta. Too risky for him. Sad, again. I can't understand this gigantic fear trend, specially at HW, about losing a fight. It's just part of the sport, IMO.
