Welter is a very loaded division... One mistake and you'll be at the bottom of the heap...

In one news article today, Schaefer said:

"Cotto has a deep cut; Shane's ready to go" ...

Who do you think is more desperate here, Mosley, Schaefer, Dela Hoya or the entire GBP promotional company...

I think GBP made a mistake of favoring JMM to have the PBF fight when it's Mosley who's desperate to have a big money fight... Now GBP in total dilemma on who to match with Mosley... Why not Mosley vs. JMM... Anyway PBF is injured and GBP can easily make the Mosley-JMM fight...

Shane Mosley doesn't want to fight those 3 guys because he doesn't intend to stick around much longer. I think his next fight may very well be his last.

Way things are going in the PAC-Cotto negotiations, I'm guessing Mosley has to wait for another year to get another chance to win the Pacquiao sweepstakes... Better luck next time Shane...

@ farm boxer ; Don't get me wrong, I admire Mosley. He is one of the most respected fighters of his generation. He is somewhat of a throwback fighter, never dodging any opponent that gets thrown his way. His fights with Oscar De La Hoya, Fernando Vargas, and more recently with Antonio Margarito were certified barn burners. Even his losses to Winky Wright, Vernon Forrest, and Cotto did not diminish his status as a great fighter, and on the contrary, have managed to solidify him as one of the best fighters to to ever lace up gloves. He has been humble in victory and gracious in defeat. He has been a class act his entire career, so it's a bit sad to see him groveling like this. that to me is what makes him look desperate!!! I mean floyd and shane are not friends so who is he to say someone spent there money when jin is taking him to the cleaners lol. also he lost to cotto so if a fighter had to be picked between cotto and shane then why not pick the winner- more so shane had the chance to fight cotto again instead of clottley but he let that 1 win over tony and the hype that now he is the ww's best fighter go to his head- funny thing "the ring" does not have a ww champ that belt is vacant. maybe the balco "clear" is messing with his brain because any boxing fan that has been a fan for more than 3 years knows remember that he side step mayweather twice, telling us on espn that is fan friendly but wont fight williams, clottley, berto or cotto is not fan friendly, saying he will sit until pacman gives him a shot is desperate, saying he will take 40% and move down to 143 is desperate- or gives the impression that he is- williams promotor offered him his biggest payday since 07- he passed on that- these are all facts, in the age of youtube the shane's arum's and other people out that has changed their tone over the past few years so getting it thrown back in their face!!!!

I agree that golden boy should have pushed the Mosley fight. 20 mil was alot for the fight but **** he's getting 15 for Marquez. In my opinion that would have been a more lucrative fight.

Why not Mosley vs. JMM?? GBP doesn't have to pay big money for this fight... Maybe $6 mil for Mosley and JMM retains his $3 mil ...
