Well first off Cotto's bandwagon nuthugging fans will commit suicide. :yep .. and then second, there will probably be an immediate rematch.

 

Yeah, I couldn't wait to see Mayweather get KTFO but he didn't have the balls to fight someone who could achieve it and now that we have Cotto, Margarito and Williams who could, he decided to retire before being forced to fight a actual welterweight champion. Many demanded to see him fight the winner of Cotto/Margarito and that just scared the sh*t out of him.:yikes

Not trying to be harsh, but those really are some ignorant questions.

1.) If Cotto loses to Margarito, what is going to be said about him? I, for one, don't see anything wrong with losing to Margarito. Margarito may not have p4p skills, but his stamina, workrate, chin, and toughness will always give people trouble. Just because you have skills doesn't always mean that you are going to win. Plus this is boxing, where one lucky or well-placed punch can change a fight.

2.) If he gets knocked out, will he (and I assume you mean Cotto) still be the best welter out there? Ummm, do you see what's wrong with that question? Short answer? No, he won't.

3.) I don't think Gayfeather retired because of Cotto. If anything, Void Gayfeather probably saw things in Cotto that he knew that he could take advantage of and beat Cotto. Gayfeather, I believe, called Cotto out at 140, and Cotto turned it down. Even a few months ago, Gayfeather was quoted as saying he was willing to fight Cotto. However, Gayfeather hasn't mentioned Margarito's name since he turned down the $8,000,000.00 to fight him. Go figure.

4.) Not sure what you mean with your last statement, but again. This is boxing where fighters are always one punch away from losing. Doesn't matter who you are.
