I remember ultratech sports jigging his pants saying "beetee sports are the real deal, they have deep pockets, Warren is gonna start signing stars left right and center, sky are running scared" etc

This sentiment was echoed on here a lot.

    Well...

    Hasn't happened has it

Everything about Warren's operation still screams small time

BJS has been exposed as a PED taking fraud, Tyson Fury will be brutally ended by Wilder and go back into retirement, Dubois is hype,

Frampton fight will be ok but tbh Frampton has already peaked.

OH and there was crowd trouble AGAIN at his show on the weekend. AGAIN

So again, what happened to this "takeover"?

Why is there more trouble at Warren shows? Lack or quality of security?

I'm just happy that there's two promoters with two different broadcasters putting on shows. It's good for UK boxing and for the boxers themselves who at least have somewhere else to go if they don't feel they're being well served by their promoter.

In the past he's been the architect of his own destruction, but on this occasion I think Warren has been badly let down by people he's worked hard for. BJS with his stupid youtube video then Ingle and BJS for the positive test. Even the petulant insult to MSAC after the verdict.

Anyway, he has Frampton Warrington coming up which I'm really looking forward to. He has Gorman who I like a lot and Dubois who I don't rate but like as a person and hope I'm wrong about. Yarde is a hype job probably but the rest of the card the other night was very entertaining. So although he's not operating at the scale of Matchroom he's doing ok at the moment.

I think BT Sport have done a good job on the whole too. They're running a promo for Wilder Fury which looks far better than anything I've seen come out of the US. Their marketing and presentation on the football side is very strong also.

That soon ended when BT started hemorrhaging money and cut back on their sports acquisition rights.

They are not going anywhere but yes the idea that they were going to take over from Sky Sports as #1 was laughable.

It was ****ing laughable from the beginning and has gone predictably

You want to brand BT sports as "the purists boxing channel" then fine

But I've said all along Hearn/sky is the WWF and warren/BT is WCW

both have their fans but only one of them is more concerned with the other show than what they themselves are doing, and it shows.

A lot of the trouble revloves around the boxers he promotes that have a big connection to the travellers community for example the Brentwood show had Gorman plus Corcoran and loads of travellers who live locally attended He also looks after BJS Tyson Fury and no doubt a few more from that community.

Why do you keep starting anti Warren threads?
Why cant this place go back to being about boxing rather than numbers?
Lets be honest both promotions do good shows and bad
Im just happy we got more than one option

Forget sky v BT I remember Haye saying this in the build up to the first bellew fight. First he was taking out Tony, then Joshua then matchroom itself.

Well Ted Turner spent an absolute fortune to make that happen and then wcw went of business chasing the impossible. Not forgetting how mismanaged it was.

Like I said BT sports isn't going anywhere but they are clearly downsizing on the sports rights. Strong rumours the Champions League will be next going back to Sky.

Warren is fine though as they are committed to boxing.

Frank Warren was this close to giving Eddie & MatchRoom a proper good hiding but Team Hearn and Co put a stop to the almost never ending 100 TON Frank Warren train. Thanks to the paid spies and agents we won't see Canelo vs Billy Joe Saunders (not once but twice) on BT Sport Box Office PPV. Could we see Wilder vs Fury (not once but twice?) and Leo Santa Cruz vs Carl Frampton 3 (not once maybe twice)

I gotta say since Warren moved to BT i have been shocked at how bad its been.....It was much better on Boxnation imo

The matchmaking seems to have got worse too

In this instance I think the crowd trouble was football related. West Ham fans and Milwall fans apparently. I think it was Garton who had the Milwall fans with him and I'm assuming one of the other boxers had a West Ham following.
