I think hes supposed to be getting setup for a title eliminator I think its Cottos belt actually. I could think of worse fights for Cotto but id rather see him just vacate that title and fight Mosley or Margarito instead if what I think I remember is true.
The sanctioning bodies will aways grant a waiver if the title holder is a big draw. The fans like Cotto so he will be able to stall his mandatory for as long as he wants.
What the hell has Collazo accomplished? He won the WBA regular title by beating El Gallo and hasn't done anything since. For some reason everyone acts like he's a serious contender at WW based on him losing to Hatton and Mosley. I don't get it.
Just on this thread though nobody is saying anything much, but the way he performed in those fights has us interested in how he would match up against the other contenders, and those were his first real steps up in comp, maybe he will get better, probably wont but i for one think hes a good fighter based off the hatton fight and could tell hes a good fighter in the mosley fight, just outclassed talent wise.... id like to see him fight other prospect/contenders to help the shuffling of 147 settle itself a little bit. Collazo vs Judah Collazo vs Berto Collazo vs Quintana Collazo vs Williams Collazo vs Cintron are all interesting fights IMO and its not about what he accomplished, but what his next moves will be to see what he CAN accomplish. and i dont just care about accomplished fighters... I think he beats berto and cintron actually... and a judah fight is a tossup for me, ive heard judahs slipped a bit since cotto.
The Hatton fight was actually close. I had it for Collazo. Maybe Mosley ended Collazo's career like he's going to end Judahs.:think ZING!:admin
No, Collazo clearly lost to Hatton. Then he followed that up by losing to a past it Shane who couldn't even utilize his precious steroids. Cotto softened Mosley up and in the words of Jay-Z, Judah is going to off his on switch.
Quintana and Collazo are alot alike IMO but I think Quintanas slightly higher in class,Cintron isnt very mentally strong I could see Collazo outboxing him and Paul Williams as well considering what Quintana did fairly easily. Bertos very green agianst top level fighters and loses steam after 5-6 rounds in alot of his fights and Judah is really showing signs of slowing down everytime I see him hes just telegraphing leftuppercuts. Collazo could actually beat all these guys but he showed vs Shane Mosley he isnt in that upperclass Margarito,Mosley,Cotto,Mayweather.
Andre dunking on Kobe my favorite player:bart cant look at that. That picture shouldnt even exist. I wanted the sixers to do well but now i changed my mind. Pistons in 5:thumbsup
I thought Hatton-Collazo was close until the 12th, where Collazo almost KO'ed Ricky. I gave the fight to Luis.
