whats happened to paul applby? youngest british champ ever from scotland, won the boxing writers young boxer of the year award.

had one loss to a good martin linsey, which in my opinion if he was going to take that fight his promoter should have secured him the home advantage atleast before sending him over to belfast to a very intimidating kings hall. (was a great night though)

im already a big fan, hes quite local to us. he has a great exciting style, loves to go fighting.

where is he now? hes not fought since and i heard he left tommy gilmour ( best news ever) i also heard he was tlaking to frank warren who i believed wanted to sign him origanally too.

    anyone know anything?

He's signed up with Frank Warren and should be fighting again soon. He has a new trainer and from what I hear he is coming on leaps and bounds. He has years ahead of him so a couple of warm ups this year and then 2011 wil be his year.

With Frank Warren looking after Appleby now, I would be suprised if the kid didnt win a world title in the next 3 years...

    & thats the truth.

When were Gary Young, Gary Mcmillan or Barry Hughes ever good? All three are awful not even near british title level. As for a scottish heavyweigh their was Ian Millarvie but he had lots of injury problems and has gave it up now i think, shame think he could of least made it to British level considering how poor the HW division is right now.
