from floyds sucker punch to dawsons shoulder toss plus all the other madness thats happened in the ring lately i can deffinately see why so many argue that mma is where its happening.

i dont and will never agree, but i can see their point.

people should focus more on the positive things than the negative, even on that card you had a great fight in demarco vs linares.
    More great fights this year:
    - froch vs johnson
    - rios vs antillion
    - rios vs acosta
    - maidana vs morales
    - morales vs cano
    - guerrero vs katsidis
    - ortiz vs berto
    - sturm vs macklin
    - marquez vs concepcion
    - salido vs lopez
    - walsh vs appleby
    - rodriquez vs wolak
    -mitchell vs murray
    - cleverly vs bellew

examples of modern boxers showing heart in recent years:

    - morales vs maidana
    - marquez vs pacquiao x2
    - marquez vs diaz
    - marquez vs katsidis
    - khan vs maidana/maidana vs khan
    - ortiz vs berto
    - froch vs kessler
    - froch vs taylor
    - abraham vs miranda
    - salido vs juanma
    - montiel vs donaire
    - groves vs degale
    - hopkins vs pascal 1
    - helenius vs liakhovich
    - cotto vs clottey
    - margarito vs pac
    - briggs vs vitali
    - demarco vs linares
    - pacquiao vs morales
    - corrales vs castillo
    - foreman vs cotto
    - martinez vs williams 1
    - maidana vs ortiz

etc. etc., nothing ***** about it, there are plent of warriors out there currently, just because big fights recently ahve been dissapointing doesnt make this a year full of bad fights and modern boxers being pussies.

A really good year of boxing but the biggest fights seemed to suck balls.

The big advantage mma has got is that most of it is gathered in one organization and that they put out good undercards so there is still something to watch if the main event is a disappointment. Still, I got fed up with it myself after following it for a year or so. Too much wrestling for my tastes.

How many threads are there gonna be about this.... seriously a few bad nights (and I don't even consider may ortiz a bad night) and people start waffling. **** happens, boxing has always had ups and downs, there is plenty of good going on in boxing.

boxing is ****in up tho . alot of dissapointments. boxers flopping , judges, fefs, fights on PPV that shouldnt be, and fights on PPV that have bad undercards but i gotta say the undercards have been getting better.

mma PPV's are stacked with big fights and everyone is willing to fight eachother for the most part. mma is rapidly coming up on boxing but im still a major boxing fan i cant ever see me switchin over to mma even tho ima fan of both but boxing will always be #1

just the timing was coincidental. If there is anything to it, it is Hopkins and Mayweather being all about ego and winning at all costs without putting a full effort into it.
