Joe Calzaghe Jr and Cameron Hatton.. Are they doing well in the amateurs? I thought Calzaghe Jr would have turned pro by now.
Hopefully they are both learning their trades quietly whilst the unwanted pressure /hype falls on conor Benn etc
Is it ever possible that they will out do stars like there father's? I just don't think they will ever have the heart and desire to the extent of there dads because they have lived a very different life, I might be wrong but there fathers started from nothing and had that motivation...
Time will tell with eubank Jr... No doubt his ability is phenomenal! But how deep into the trenches will he go when he gets to the top? I just believe that a man who has had everything from birth won't go as deep as a man who has built from nothing or very little in comparison...
hate to nitpick, but there is a lot of doubt..., best thing is all questions will be answered on February 17th
eubank jnr is proven, to take bjs all the way that early on just goes to show conor ben is an accident waiting to happen, they've done really well to get him where he is though not seen calzaghe's son box but I get the feeling they are looking at the gym/training the public side of things hattons son seems average but who knows?
Imagine having Snr as your old man! Jnr has all the motivation in the world to succeed. I bet he is relishing the day he can turn round to his old man and show him he's better than him. If he wins the WBSS I would not be surprised to see him through Snr out of the ring WWF style, even Ronnie Davis might get a cheeky boot in. I do love the Eubanks, great entertainment. Have been rewatching at home with the Eubanks recently on YouTube and it's interesting watching young Jr being mentored by his old man. One of my favourite stories is when Snr bought a tramp home unexpectedly to live with the family. Snr had him (apparently) polishing his shoes and doing all sorts of household tasks. After a week he ran away and Snr went looking for him. He found him in Brighton somewhere and he begged Snr to leave him alone saying he just wanted his old life back
Say what you want about Conor Benn but he has heart for sure...that last fight he was in was a true fight.
