I have seen the press conference. Looks like Frampton/Barker was more of a flippant remark than anything else.

I asked him last week and he said no news the moment.

For Barker they must be aiming for;

a) Geale
b) Murray
c) Lee

For Frampton they must be aiming for;

a) Romero
b) Quigg
c) Mathubella

 

Reading between the lines I would say that;

Hearn has tried to get Romero/Mathubella over to Belfast but can't. Barry still wants him to headline a Sky show v Anybody, but Hearn would rather give that main event spot to somebody else.

 

that's a pretty **** show!

 

Havent a clue whats going on, I just hope Frampton gets the right opportunities and getting paid right, he is real talent and a brilliant role model.

 

Like I said to the OP, at the stage Frampton is at its not a case of setting a date and finding an opponent. Thats how you end up with a Barker v Ritolo kind of fight.

1) Jonathan Romero - IBF title
2) Jeffery Mathebulla - Commonwealth/IBF final eliminator
3) Scott Quigg - WBA Interim
4) Vic Darchinyan - Commonwealth/WBC final eliminator
5) Sasha Bakhtine - European/WBC/IBF eliminator

If not fights with former world champions like Hozumi Hasegawa, Hugo Cazares, Rico Ramos would be great.
