Any word on when he'll be back?

He seems to be completely healed from his injury. I would have thought that at his age, he'd be looking to get back in the ring as soon as possible.

Nakatani was spoken about months ago, but heard nothing since.

Don't know. Looks that he does have even gym in U.S and mortgage and doesn't looks that he does have debts.

    Will see.
Nakatani btw is too large for him. Like Campbell and even Linares.
Also Nakatani is not a bad boxer at all. He is almost the same level as Lopez if he is in good shape.

    I agree.
I think Loma should go back down to 130.
Plenty of good fights there for him.

Agreed, Loma will hit Nakatani all night and not hurt him, but when Nakatani hits Loma?

Loma does have chance to stop Nakatani. He even does not need to land on his chin. There is liver and core and Linares fight showed that Loma is not bad body puncher and might KO with a body punch.

Nakatani if in good shape does have even real chances to win vs Loma via decision, he does have better reach than Lopez and looks more fresh than Campbell & he is good boxer.

This. I applaud his move up but it's clear that the size difference was a major problem. He's not a big guy.

Arguable, but why fight above your natural weight?

Do russian fighters not care about their prime or something? They FINALLY get in the professionals at like 32 then stall for 7 years then fight the biggest fights of their lives when they're 45
I really hope not, but it seems as if Usyk is taking the same route, he'll fight Joshua when he's 65
Now loma is just waiting around

To prove he's as good as everyone claimed he is. He's reasonably sized for 135

    Loma is from Ukraine.
Former SU and east euro block countries did not had pro boxing allowed till 1992 th and later too much other problems rather than pro boxing business.
While in the same U.K pro boxing was widely known as career choice long before WW2, before WW1.

Social prestige values and impact from this I think does have impact why they are staying in amateurs for long time. Maybe also support.
Recently only during maybe ~ 20 years pro boxing is slowly developing in these countries.
For countries like U.K this period is more than 120 years.;)

Saw him last week in a big Tekken tournament in the Ukraine. I think there was also some amateur boxing fights or so at the same time, which is why he was there.
