what's Macklin's only chance tonight?

He needs to box and stay away from Golovkin, if he gets into a brawl then its over as GGG has the power to end it. If he can keep his discipline, keep using the jab to keep GGG off balance and at range and clinching well on the inside then he has a chance.

That being said, I don't think Macklin can do that effectively for the whole 12 rounds. I can just see him getting baited into a brawl with GGG and trying to fight fire with fire and unfortunately getting outgunned. People are seeming to forget that while Golovkin can let the hands go and overpower his opponents, he can also use his very under-rated boxing skills as well which is why I just see him having too many advantages in this fight.

I see a 9th or 10th round stoppage in favour of Golovkin tonight, I see a relatively competitive fight in which GGG begins to grind Macklin down over middle rounds until either the referee steps in or Buddy Mcgirt tells Macklin that he won't just watch him take all that punishment and pulls him out.

Even if he loses, I see Mack making GGG look human and stopping some of his unfathomable hype train.

I'd say his best chance is to just pressure Golovkin like crazy. Drive him forward and keep swinging for the fences:

Macklin does have good power, and he's tough as nails so he could withstand a few medium shots from Golovkin on the way in.

Golovkin does let himself get hit a little, and though I expect he'll be moving more against Mackilin than in most recent fights, he still might leave himself open a few times, especialy if Macklin stays in his face and throws like crazy.

So, I say: Try to drive GGG into the ropes, and throw as many bombs as possible, for as many rounds as he can last. If he does this, then he really does have a chance.

If he stays outside and tries to win on points, he's doomed.

Man... I think Macklin will beat ggg tonight. Everyone are looking past Macklin and this does not look good at all for Golo.

It will be a war but Referee will stop the fight because golo is taking too much punishment in later rounds.:deal

Macklin will beat Golo. Tonight upset will happen and Golo will lose his 0. I will still follow him but he is getting beaten tonight. Mark my fukin words.

If he somehow becomes Jersey Joe Walcott.

    It probably doesn't happen though.

So Mack should do the redneck wildman crazy fists on GGG? Gee, why
hasn't every other fighter just implemented that style instead of learning
the science and craft? OOOOooohh, ooohhh, me me. "cause........it
doesn't work. Correct christo! Good job.

I expect GGG to win by TKO in mid or later rounds. Macklin can stop the onslaught and punching power of GGG at this point and doesn't have the boxing ability to outbox GGG for UD.

    GGG TKO

GGG folds after Macklin is still comng at him by round 8. He could discourage him!

I think he gets stopped in the 8th.

I think he needs to pace himself, as Golovkin isn't one to set a very furious tempo. I feel Macklin will do relatively good early on, but inevitably get caught in an exchange and get put over. By about round 8-10 I would guess.

Golovkin will force Macklin to fight, it's not his choice. Macklin just doesn't have the skillset to win this fight.

Me either. Triple G is very good at cutting off the ring and closing distance behind a piston like jab so if Mack is looking to "box".....it might be difficult under the kind of pressure GGG is known for. Who knows.....we all might be surprised and see Macklin have the power and determination to hurt or gain Golovkin's respect. I just don't see it that scenario playing out at the end of the night.
