I got a question; who would win Ruiz the Puerto Rican or Ruiz the Mexican in a mythical matchup?

He's literally a one hit wonder now. One counter hook basically won him the first fight. It only took all those extra rounds because his power is nowhere near what it was advertised as post Ruiz-Joshua I.

He will never fight/beat Joshua again. Others can potentially learn from Joshua's mistakes too and those with some length and skill (almost all heavies have length on Ruiz) can likely outbox him.

He's likely to never fight Fury/Wilder and if he does he'll be easily beaten. Many other fighters in and around Parker's level can beat him.
Top 4 HW is a myth based on one sequence in one fight.

They'll feed him some shot/old garbage now. Maybe Wilder does give him a fight just to KO him and one up Joshua.

He's done as an 'elite fighter', exposed both in limitations and in utter lack of basic discipline. At least other fatties try to shed chunks of blubber for big fights, he just packs more on.

Only way he gets a belt again is via boxing politics and a gimme matchup.

A good comeback fight for Ruiz would be someone like povetkin or Ortiz

But I’m not sure he could beat as one of those guys LOL

Andy did a lotta work on his combos, Big Mac Combo, Quarter pound Combo, Whopper Combo (not the Jr Whopper) and he beat Joshua to the punch, the punch bowl at the buffet... He is the ghost of Buster Douglas come back to haunt the HW division. He ate himself out of his title. He has enough money to own his own McDonalds and that was his childhood dream. I can't imagine him having 15+ Million dollars and ever wanting to work hard enough to win back a world heavyweight championship. He won the boxing lottery, he should and very likely will, retire on it. Respect to Joshua for making no excuses, putting in the work and getting back in the ring with a man who stopped him prepared to do what it takes to win. Now Joshua needs to work on a plan to UNIFY by fighting the only two other fighters who matter in the division.

Seeing how far Andy showed up to his last fight, the biggest fight of his life, leads me to believe he’s done. He will still get a couple big fights because he’s a former belt holder but I expect him to become a minor gatekeeper and stumble off into obscurity. He is a likeable enough guy but I still can’t get over how bad he looked. Maybe the fattest most out of shape blob I’ve ever seen and there have been some slobs at HW over the years. What happened to all of the talk of Andy coming in too skinny? He was a disgrace to the sport and I wish him well in whatever he does next but I hope it’s not boxing.

Fat jokes aside, I think Ruiz is going to get a fight with one of the big three in the relatively near future.

I think all three see him as someone they can easily outbox in the same way Joshua was able to, but also as someone who *seems* dangerous to many casual boxing fans so it'll look good and bring in some cash without too much danger.

It’s funny because you said combos at fast food restaurants.

Well, he won't be fighting a third match with Joshua (which he seems to think is happening).

And Wilder and Fury are occupied. Usyk seems all but penciled in for a WBO shot. Pulev seems to be the odds-on favorite for a WBA shot against Joshua.

Ruiz was essentially "on loan" from PBC after he upset Joshua. So I doubt we'll see another Parker fight.

Ruiz is one of those guys who wasn't very good to begin with. Scored a big upset. Then reverted to form in losing.

I love heavyweight boxing, and I could care less if I ever saw him fight again. Truthfully. I didn't care much for him to begin with as a fighter. And I certainly don't after Saturday.

He could take his check for this fight and, once he realizes he's going back to FS1 undercards, call it a day.

Or, he could take the road of Charles Martin, another one-fight wonder, and fight no-names until he's fed to an up-and-comer (like Kownacki).

Unfortunately for Ruiz, Kownacki is now a contender. And the PBC up-and-comers are guys like Efe Ajagba.

Ruiz should retire. But, if he fights again, I see him being fed to someone like Ajagba next summer, when Ajagba is like 14-0 and on the cusp of a top 10 WBC rating.

That'll likely be Ruiz's role now ... the former champ who gets beat up on Danny Garcia undercards.

    He should retire.
