In his fight against Jake O'Brian he mostly defended takedown attempts from Jake the whole first round, AA stuffed all but 1 but AA didn't really get anything going in the first. At the beggining of the second was the same thing O'brian going for takedowns and AA stuffing them and then finally gettin O'brian on his back where he mounted him and beat him until the ref stopped it. That's 3 victories in a row for AA, the question is , is he gone or will he re sign....anyone happen to know any rumours?
The way that his last fight was handled, leads me to believe that he is not staying with the UFC. Not only did they not televise his fight, but they didn't even interview him in the ring after the fight. That says a lot, IMO. I heard that M-1 is looking to promote a show in Chicago, and have heard rumors that he may be looking at fighting Fedor in M-1, in Chicago. Just rumors though. I am sure that he is still in negotiations with several orgs. At least, I would hope that he is. Hell, with Elite XC going to CBS, it would work out great for both of them to get him on board.
It'll be hilarious if he fights Fedor and beats him. Everybody's great expecations of Fedor vs Couture will faulter
Yeah, I bet Arlovski goes to M-1 or Elite XC. Arlovski started his career in M-1 and lost to a drunk in his first fight.
They even blocked out the part where his hands were being raised,,,He kinda deserved it..He wants to collect a ton of money for doing **** and acting like he could box. This stiff got the same amount as Silva..more than Hendo Are you kiddin me!!!
Hes obviously done in the UFC if he could go make a fight in M-1 with Fedor id be exicted for it and pay cause Arlovski matches up well with Fedor. Then you got Elite XC going to CBS there trying to pick up stars I hear Tito Ortiz might head there after the Machida fight now that Riccos there, you got that one unbeaten dude who stopped James Thompson,Thompson himself,Antonio Silvas building a name for himself,Kimbo so thats not to bad a career for Andrei Arlovski because I believe hed rule Elite XCs Heavyweight divison which id rather do then be a former UFC Heavyweight Champ thats not even being showed on there shows.
i read somewhere that arlovsky was the highest paid fighter at ufc 82, is this true? could someone please verify. many thanks
Wouldn't be surprised. He still has same contract since he has won the belt. A.Silva has same contract since he started(i think).
If that's the case with Silva then id feel bad for him. Anyhow, this would be the best time to go back to the drawing board with dana and discuss real bucks. Silva's on top of the heap right now and it would not hurt that much to get a few extra money for himself, just to make things sanely right
Having a Fedor and AA fmatch would be good for MMA fans since fedor hasn't had any serious opponent in the past year or so..
The problem with Silva is he is so dominant that it will be hard for him to argue that he can make big bucks. I don't want to pay to see Silva beat people I know he can beat.
i read it again and it claimed that silva made 140,000 while andrei made 170,00. that's pretty big for a fight that was not even televised
i bought the ppv hoping to see arlovski as i try to follow his career, i didn't see any highlight of his fight or even a mention of him, not the way you would treat a guy that was signing on, they are giving him the silent treatment and pretending he doesnt exist so they dont rise his stock and profile only for another org to cash in.
