Whats next for Austin Trout?

It all depends on his promoter.

 

Not even, the fight was close. If he got dominated maybe, but he didn't at all.

 

Hope not, he should fight some of the big names at 154 now that he's fought two in high-profile fights. Molina, Lara, Martirosyan, Kirkland, Angulo, k9, etc.

 

That could potentially happen, because he does not have a fan friendly style. However, I think his win over Cotto ensures that he is still a big player at 154, and his loss to Alvarez now makes him seem vulnerable. That combination should enable him to continue to get significant fights at 154, and hopefully another shot at a belt soon.

 

Back to back fights, one win and one close defeat, against 2 of the 10 biggest fighters in the whole world seems to ensure that he'll get slightly higher than usual paydays from here on out and that he will get the choice to have another big fight straight away.

As stated above, would like to see him against any number of opponents at 154. Literally anybody in or close to the top 10.

 

He still beats pretty much everyone else at 154

 

We will not hear from him most likely....high risk low reward

He's too solid a fighter to be passed up. If he gets ducked or dodged he'll simply win quietly and comfortably until he gets his shot again.

I'd like to see against 160 or against Canelo again, truthfully. He's way too big for 154.

Did you honestly see anything Trout can do different, You can't change trout he tried his best, and it wasn't enough.
