So many--and I am as guilty as anyone--erased Bernard Dunne from their list of fighters to keep an eye on after he was wiped out inside a round by the decent-but-not-great Kiko Martinez in 2007. And he didn't do much to shake up that sentiment until his latest late, up-and-down victory. I--like the majority of fight fans outside Ireland, I think--gave Dunne almost no chance against the excellent Ricardo Cordoba. Then Dunne floors Cordoba, gets floored, gets up and stops his man in the 11th. Who knew? The Irish boxing public, I guess. Well, it happened. What are Dunne's options, looking forward? For a good test? For easy pickings? For another war? For a suicide mission?
Easy comeback fight for Rafa or Izzy....can't see him beating JuanMa or Caballero, but then I didn't see him beating Cordoba....I guess he's better if there's a better opponent in front of him. I think he'd beat Munroe, though before I'd given him less of a chance.
