Fact is, how you gon duck a world class fighter with another world class fighter. That's not ducking, but rather making a choice, especially when the other world class fighter is next fighter that you fight.
If Broner wins - if broner was to win it would be the biggest win of his career obviously and as such would allow him to use it to his advantage and try unifying with either of the champions at 147 but I think broner would probably try fighting someone like Jeff Horn, Kell Brook or Amir Khan, someone who’s beatable but a recognisable name in boxing which gives him the chance to try becoming one of the most recognisable fighters in the sport which can then allow him to try dictating how much he can make from fights. If Broner loses - this will probably then mean he starts fighting mainly fringe world level fighters for the rest of his career and I could see him fight Jessie Vargas and trying to get a win in the rematch
But Broner fought Vargas... And Pacquiao had a year long layoff after Horn. Months are critical at Pacquiao's age. Broner is facing a 40 year old Pacquiao instead of the 38 year old. Danny Garcia has come around to wanting Pacquiao now after ducking him the same time Broner did.
If he wins I would want to see him challenge Keith Thurman or Danny Garcia If he loses I guess it depends. Does he lose every round and get beaten up, if that is the case he should retire or face some low tier guys If he loses a close fight maybe press for the fights I thought he should take if he won or rematch Pac
How much is this based on actual boxing observation and not your dislike of Pacquiao? Because if you're basing it on actual boxing knowledge, you'd see that Lipinets who is slow and the very definition of average put a beating on Mikey throughout 12 rounds. Mikey looked like he was in a car accident after the fight with his nose pushed a few inches to the left and bruising that looked like burn marks.
I will watch that fight, but Gacia`s combo`s are better than Manny`s now and his guard is always held in a great place as he punches, time is running out for Manny.
Broner is the longest lived hype job of all time. Hopefully another loss sends him packing for good. He was a weight bully who I wish had faded away quietly when Ponce De leon beat him years ago.
If he can't beat a 40 year old welter ,yeah, he needs to quit. or have gatekeeper tattooed on his back
If Broner pulls of the Pacman victory, and thats entirely possible, then he'll push for a rematch with Pacquiao. While he's pushing for the rematch he'll be grilling up some MAJOR beef with Floyd and pulling every string to get that inked. Thats the short term outlook.
