Superseding my "whats next for Pwilly thread" I am interested what you guys think is next for Arreola. here was my analysis of him in the fight from another thread::

    The Good:

Arreola took a knee at the right time, this showed ring intelligence. His power was there in abundance. Post fight he said that he needs to train more seriously and his will increase his roadwork and come back in better shape. he was patient in round one when walker was throwing 100 punches, hw's cannot sustain that kinda work rate. The guys is hilarious in his post fight interviews!

    The Bad:

His defense was real sloppy tonight. His handspeed was terrible, I havent seen him this slow before..likely the weight. Guys with a good fast jab, fast hands and that can move will beat him and likely beat him badly. I see a guy like fast eddie chambers defeating him, even though chambers has no lateral movement.

So who do you match this guy against? Unlike Paul Williams I think a lot of heavies will take a peice of Arreola.

    Get himself an eliminator.
Before this fight I believe he was WBC #2, IBF & WBO #4.
So the Klitschkos would definitely be an option if he wins an eliminator.

In my opinion you put him in with dimentrenko to make him the mandatory for the IBF belt. Thats assuming Povetkin gets the next fight with Wlad as a mandatory.

Thats where I am coming from. I would match him against dimentrenko who can punch but his overall boxing ability isnt spectacular. I would see Arreola knocking him out

Gomez should have a locked deal on the wbc.

Ready or not, if he wins his next fight it should put him in the mandatory spot in at least one organization. That could mean later next year for a shot at one of the klits.

This guy is no felix sturm. If their fight with a klit is there, I see Arreola's team taking it.

Errm it was Walker's flush right hand which dropped him to one knee not Chris' ring intelligence.

the next logical step would be the winner of toney v thompson i figure he can easily beat both and it would be good to get a named oppenent on his record
ofcourse it depends on hayes next move as he will probably target the winner of that fight aswell if he cant get a klitscho in the ring before april

As hard as this is to say, If JT gets by Thompson I'd favor JT to outbox Arreola and do it pretty handily.

I dont see JT having any touble with Arreola..imagine those slow punches Arreola throws and jt's quick counters busting his ugly nog all fight long.

this may be true but its a fight he needs to take if he cant get past a fighter like toney then he has no business even mentionin the name klitscho

Whats next? To get in shape and lose some of them rolls.. I'd say a fight with Peter or Thompson would be a good call..

Maskaev,Chambers,Rahman,Dimitrenko and Povetkin are the guys ranked near him in the IBF.....Povetkin will get his shot next year so no,Rahman is up next and Dimitrenko is going by the WBO...leaving a fight with Maskaev or Chambers in an eliminator

I think Arreola should fight either Haye or Peter...preferably Haye! What a brawl!
