Cotto is awfully quiet. He isn't talking to anyone, not even "the company."

I think he's pissed at the Bobfather. The Bobfather basically forced him to fight Margo.

I agree, although Cotto could be doing any number of things mentally at this point.

Rematch Margarito immediately ... or take on Luis Collazo for the right to become Berto's madatory, that way he's forced to fight or vacate the strap.

In an interview with telemundo he said he'd be taking a short amount of time off and will be back in the ring before the end of the year (don't know if he meant as in a fight or back to training)

    word up..
Well a win over Berto and then Clottey... Then a rematch with Margarito for Unification. Margaritos next fight will most likely be against Paul Williams or Clottey so Cottos should be against Berto; then look for Clottey if he's still holding the belt.

Hopefully, he just takes an easy fight when he returns and then jumps back in then can work his way up back to the top of the Welterweight.

I don't think Cotto wants to ever get in the ring with Margarito again. I bet you he's still having nightmares and i'm not even joking.

Why would he take an easy fight when he's an elite fighter? ... he's ranked top 5 by every sanctioning body and he's probably 1 fight away from another title shot. He can't move back ... he has to keep going forward ... it wasn't like he was exposed by any means ... he was overwhelmed and I don't see how that means he should take the easy road.

seems a Cotto-margarito rematch is a inevitable, cotto juss needs to b able to last thru the whole 12rounds, and to stay off tha damn ropes

He needs to move down a level for his first fight to repair his confidence after being beaten the way he was.

Fight someone very good, but not too good. Train like there's no tomorrow and kick the living **** out of them. I think that's the only way to move back up to the top. If he tries to fight Margarito right away it will be a worse beating than before unless he's the most mentally resilient fighter ever.

Go for the rematch, train your ass off, obsess over beating Margarito, and use the element of surprise.
