What's next for Daniel Jacobs?

Unfortunately for Jacobs, and the rest of the MW division, De La Hoya gets to decide. They are planning for Canelo to face the Lemieux/Saunders winner in May and GGG again in September. Jacobs and his team should get themselves in the mandatory position for a belt and make himself less avoidable.

 

Any combination of GGG,Canelo,Jacobs,Lemmy,BJS is good in my book Charlo/Andrade/Dzy can be included but need one significant win to join the party.

 

I wish i could see Eubank v Jacobs,never going to happen though,for me Lemiux v Saunders.Then hope BJS wins for a showdown with Jacobs where that ***** will get the beating he deserves against Jacobs,Brit by the way,Saunders deserves to get ****ed up.

Except I reckon BJS could hang with Jacobs no problem,I get it BJS is annoying but talent wise the lad can Box.

 

The charlo fight will be amazing!

 

Eddie Hearn might have something to say about that. Jacobs called Jermall out before, but Hearn wants him to go after Saunders/Lemieux first.

 

Definetely ! Hearn wants to promote Danny Jacobs in NYC as a champ. He needs that belt.

It will be funny cuz I think Canelo will be in Montreal that night too, hoping for a Lemieux win. If BJS wins I dont know why but I cant see Hearn and Warren working on this one, so maybe a Canelo vs Jacobs in May ? Why not ? I can see this happening

 

Hard to even speculate with so many variables that have not played out as of yet. Working with Hearn would seem to give him an inside track for getting a big pay fight in the U.K. with Saunders assuming he still has his title.

Of course a fight with Charlo is also intriguing and would serve to bolster one contenders threat level while putting anothers on hold or eliminating it entirely.

 

Jacobs is going to have a tough time attracting the top fights. He's much too dangerous and doesn't bring the kind of reward that his danger level warrants. His best bet is to fight often and make himself mandatory again. I think he drubs Canelo and Lemmy.

Lemieux/Saunders winner or Charlo are the biggest fights to be made for Jacobs.

 

Saunders V Jacobs would be a stinker, I like both fighters but their styles are not very attractive, especially against each other.
