I agree...he could go back down to 115 and defend his belts, but he's always going to have style problems against counterpunchers and movers. Unless he wants a payday soon, he should stay clear of Donaire.

Not that this fight would ever happen, but Hasegawa would give him a lesson before stopping him at 118 imo.

i wonder what is wrong with some people. donaire won't be laughing at anything. his fight with the guy who lost to calderon got called off, he has a crap fight coming up, he's with bob arum who will probably put him on chavez jr undercards. darchinyan had a great career after he lost to donaire. he will probably have more publicity in what he does after this defeat, and more career choices, than donaire who just hasn't caught on.

darchinyan made a bad career choice last night, but let's not rewrite his career all of a sudden after one bad showing: with his power advantage and awkwardness he is an absolute top level fly and super fly. mijares was more highly regarded before darchinyan, than donaire was after darchinyan. the "overrated" mijares was a unified champ with wins over kawashima, munoz, navarro, arce. kirilov was also a good fighter, pacheco was a very dangerous champ. arce was still a top 10 super flyweight...vic has lost before and it has not ruined his career. no one else at the lower weights has a resume like his.

Pathetic Vic, everyone thought he's gonna demolish lowly rated Agbeko. He got exposed overhyping himself. He ate more than he could chew, the ***** big mouthed.

I told everyone in this board this guy Darchinyan is an overrated loud mouthed fighter. As I've said if a lighter fighter like Donaire can beat, he will surely be beaten by Agbeko who has been fighting in the bantams for years.

That fight clearly indicated that his power is not the same at Bantam, and should just leave the division.

The only thing he must do after this is to rematch Donaire and prove that he is the best at 115.

He should get a rematch. He can easily outbox him next time, would have been an easy fight, but you can't beat Don King's judges anyway.

Yeah but he did land a bunch special lead right hands on that Naseem wannabe. The reason I know Darchinyan isnt really a good fighter he got beat up the same way even worse than Prince Naseem got beat up by Barrera, but by a fighter that doesent have nearly the technical skill as Barrera and Barrera didnt beat Naseem up as bad which is why i call him a low budget Naseem.
