I wonder who he'll face next? It's been a while since his last fight, yet I've not seen anything mentioned about possible opponents or the date of his next fight. Since HBO is done with boxing, will he appear on another network?

There's a lot of interesting matchups that could be made for him at light heavyweight, such as Bivol vs Beterbiev or Bivol vs Browne.

I wanna seem him duke it out with Gvozdyk for 175 supremacy, hopefully in a unification match after Nail whoops The Pimp into retirement.

Until then though, Badou Jack would be a good interim fight.

I don’t see it, if Barerra can smoke you like he did, Bivol would also put a pounding on Barerra.

Well, in Joe's defense, he had a broken jaw for 9 rounds of that match, if Bivol doesn't break his jaw, he wouldn't be as cautious. And remember, Joe came within a hair of KOing Barrera in 1, before said broken jaw occurred.

He has options, Beterbiev has expressed a desire to fight him, they were building the Kovalev fight before Alvarez stopped him so maybe if Kovalev can get his belt back that can be an option for a unification.

I’m not calling joe a quitter or anything, it was more so that Barerra was able to break his jaw. Joe doesn’t have the best defence and that’s very dangerous in a stacked division full of capable punchers.

Yeah, I know, but Joe has a solid chin, but a fragile jaw, so if he can avoid it being broken early, which would cause him to play stay away, and actually go for the KO, if he lands flush, how will Bivol take it? It could end up being very Beterbiev-Johnson like. Skill wise, yes Bivol has a clear edge, power wise, Joe has a huge edge.

Well if Joe wants it then I’m sure Bivol will oblige, tbh I think it’s a mismatch if Bivol takes it. However I don’t mind seeing it at least Joe will come to win and has a punchers chance

Smith is a really tough guy who can't fight. He's a journeyman, I wouldn't really even say fringe contender. He was in a 50/50 fight after 7 rounds with a TWENTY-FIVE year age advantage. Bivol would hurt him.

Bivol and Gvozdyk are gonna be huge rivals for years I predict.

This. He needs to stay active and also needs to keep learning. Joe Smith is a good stay busy opponent for him.
