New article I wrote on GSP after interviewing him on Sat: http://www.ichill.ca/articles/what-s-next-for-georges-st-pierre

GSP was very cryptic but also clear that no decision has been made.

I expect him to announce his official retirement on NYE/NYD.

The UFC need GSP a hell of a lot more than he needs them.

I'd like to see GSP go out on top and retire on a win and with untold millions in the bank. Let's face it, he's on the decline and the division is heating up big time now.

He'll always be the GOAT @ WW.

He should retire. Nothing left for him to accomplish and he was clearly on the decline in the last 3-4 fights he had.

One of the few MMA guys who could throw a proper jab lol.... Real talented guy even if he wasn't a joy to watch a lot of the time. If he comes back I see him winning his belt back, at his worst his still beat the 2nd best guy in the world in Hendricks.

I think what's next depends on whether or not he's suffering any permanent or ongoing injuries we're not aware of. If he is, he should retire, if he isn't and wants to get his title back, he should start with a mid level fighter and move up gradually.

Mid level fighter???? GSP took on, and defeated Carlos Condit(when he was hot) after coming back from a torn ACL, and like 18 months out of the cage. If he comes back then he'll probably get an instant shot at his belt, I'm sure he's more or less Champion-emeritus behind closed doors.

Well he can do what he wants but you can't really take anywhere close to the amount of time off that GSP taken and expect to beat ranked fighters like Condit. He was both psychologically rattled and physically busted up after that Hendricks fight. No way should he come straight out of the gate and fight an opponent like Condit and this stage in his career. Between the training and the title defenses he actually has a lot of mileage on him and so he has to be careful, he wasn't just walking through opponents like Silva was. At the very least he should take a warm up match before going after Hendricks or maybe even Lawler.

I don't think he has anything to prove. Hes getting older and will most likely find a woman and start having babies soon. Expect him to start an elite line of MMA gyms. I think he's retired gracefully. I wish him the best in all his endeavors.
