Whats next for Groves?

This is precisely the point, given his abilities, few thought he was capable of doing what he did on Saturday. He excelled himself. Which is precisely why I strongly doubt he'll ever do anything more.

On the other hand, you have Degale, who is capable of much more, underachieving, throwing away a fight through his own delusion and arrogance. Unless he takes a new approach to his boxing i'd be suprised if he went any further than Groves.

 

I cant see him doing more than one defence of the British title, Hayemaker will move him on quickly especially in a few months he will be the main man in that camp. Id be surprised if he didnt fight for the European title before the end of the year/early next year.

 

He probably finds success at European level, but would get hurt if he tried to tangle with any of the legitimate world operators at Super Middle. He's not world calibre.

 

That remains to be seen. I don't believe it's coincidence that DeGale decides take a night off at exactly the same time he's fighting his toughest oppnent to date.

 

but you think james degale has what it takes to mix it up with the best.....

 

He's bloody 23, he hasn't peaked with a victory over James bloody Degale...
