The guy says he wants to be champ in '08. But he can't do it sitting on his ass. Besides the ridiculous Tyson rumor nothing else has come up for him.

He is so dellusional it's sad. I honestly think he belives he can come back & KO Klitschko once he has unified the title. Holyfield has no busines fighting at championship level again.

If the Tyson fight doesn't happen then he's better off retiring, if Sultan was too much to handle then what do you think Wladimir would do to him?, I really don't want to think of it nor see it. Either the Tyson fight, which is pretty decent for both to make some good money out of or just retire.

I agree, but he'll retire if he loses again.

I'd like to see Holyfield-Moorer 3. Loser retires or for that matter both could retire.

  6. He need s to stop 'roiding up' and retire

What´s next for him? Probably conceiving 10 children with 10 different women and some preaching of "God´s values"

No honestly, he should fight Bowe, the one boxer who is surely more spent and wasted than him. I´m sure he could KO Bowe in one.

What I think will actually happen is he fights some lousy half excuse for a former fringe contender, like say Obed Sullivan, and tries to justify why he should get another title shot after winning.

Last I heard, he had a new trainer (yes, another one) in the form of Tim Bell.
They were trying to get a fight sorted out for early on in 2008.

The rumour was that they were trying to get Friday Ahunanya.
Maybe Bigcat will pop in here and let us know if that's going anywhere.

I don't think Holyfield's pride will let him do it, but I really think some kind of senior tournament with Moorer, Bowe, and possibly Tyson would be a good money-spinner for them.

Ahunanya is a former Tyson sparring partner. If Holyfield is taking a fight with him I wouldn't be surprized to hear that the Tyson fight rumor has some truth to it....Honestly, what other mega money fight is there for either guy? Both have no shot almost against anyone in the top ten, and this fight would catipulate the winner back into the spot light and a chance to land a Klitschko fight...especially if Tyson wins!

Does anybody else get depressed even thinking about the "future" of Holyfield's career?

Why? Do you simply hate Holy that much or do you just wanna see somebody finish this guy's career already for his sake (and all of ours)?
