There is no fight in sight, Bakole chose Yoka as his opponent, Hrgovic needs a significant fight, but when and who should it be? I think there are enough good fighters who are willing to fight.
Right now it honestly looks bleak for Hrgovic his career seems to be trapped in limbo. He's spent the entire year looking for an opponent for the proposed IBF final eliminator, Martin claimed Injury, Hunter out right ducked him and nobody else in the IBF top 15 seems to want it either. The IBF need to mandate an eliminator and force a purse bid but them don't seem to care if there is an IBF mandatory or not which suggests they haven't received a bribe to force such a move. I honestly don't see where he goes from here. He should probably forget about the IBF eliminator it doesn't look like it's going to happen if they can't get an opponent in the IBF top 15 to face him. His best bet is to call out another undefeated fighter who nobody wants to face or have little promotional clout to make decent fights. Maybe call out Sirenko or Makhmudov as neither of them seem to have many options as they are with small time promoters who won't be able to secure a title shot. If he at least is beating other undefeated heavies with some reputation he stays relevant and sharp.
Just get back in the ring. Try to get a career gatekeeper like Hammer, Takam, or Wach in the ring. A win against a recognizable opponent and probably some rounds. IBF should just make him mandatory
Ultimately it’s the promoter’s fault. They don’t want to put any money into a purse bid for his fights because they don’t see a future ROI. No top HW will fight Hrgovic for 200k so he’s going to be stuck fighting road sweepers 2x/year. It sucks because Hrgovic is talented.
