Has he retired? Since his defeat on August 03, I've not seen anything about him in the boxing media. Deontay Wilder might be a good opponent for him at this point, or Joe Joyce.
He showed a lot of heart and skill against Bakole. I hope he fights someone from Top 15. Filip Hrgović would be a good opponent.
Vianello would be a solid comeback opponent for Anderson. Should be easy to make, both are with Top Rank.
I expect a low level C- type fighter as an opponent at this point. However, it is concerning that there's been zero info on him since his loss. If he responds to that loss like Dubois did staying active and coming back strong he could still have a place in the division. If he's not in the right place mentally his career could be short.
He should face a top 25 guy on an undercard. Don't be in the spotlight, try to rebuild defensively. Anderson never will be champion, tho, imo. But as the only relevant American HW, he can make some money anyway if they match him correctly.
Yup. You gotta have mandible to hang with big boys, and Anderson doesn't have one. His immediate future is fighting some featherfisted tomato cans, followed by getting starched when he faces someone with a pulse.
It's a bit odd Top Rank hasn't said anything about him to my knowledge since the Bakole loss. They were hyping him to the moon and back it made me nauseous. Though his several legal issues and arrests from the last year or so make me wonder if they aren't more than a little tepid and now that he's not undefeated (in their eyes) much less valuable
Think he’s going to retire or take a long time off. He seemed really content with the Saudi money for the Bakole fight.
