Personally I'd like to see Lucas seek vengeance against Lego head Garcia. I saw Amir Khan suggested in another thread, that could be interesting. How about Broner?
Enforce the Thurman shot? But i doubt it will be his next fight. I honestly dont think that Matthysse is a top 10 contender at the moment. But i would like to see Matthysse vs DeMarco
Maybe we can see a Pacquiao vs Matthysse fight since Matthysse didn't receive any major damage against Kiram.
The Manny Pacquiao call out was kind of... Weird. They have never been linked before, I don't think...
I like the Pac fight. I think they are at a similar stage. It will be a tough ask for both to go after spence, Thurman or Crawford of the world. Matthyse sizes up nicely for Pac, and I think he looked awful against Kiram, whose prestine record is misleading. Pac-Matthyse will be a great battle, neither will run from each other. I think current version of Pac is still too good for Matthyse. Pac by decision.
Lucas has slowed down to the point where he can't afford to take any high risk, low reward type fights anymore as he could very well be set back by a no name opponent at this stage. For me, Lucas is looking a little one dimensional now and relying on his power too much. As good of a chin as he has, he can be out boxed. The power of course is his great equalizer. I think he should gun for one of the top guys now. He should go for the most beatable for the highest payday, and right now that is Pac. If Lucas can somehow angle that fight, which he may have opened the door for the chance to do so by looking so beatable last night, he will really be in the money for a secure retirement. He may still lose the fight, mind, as even a faded Manny Pac still poses many challenges. If Lucas can't get the Pac fight he should go for the Danny Garcia rematch. Danny would probably beat him again at this point, but Mattysse would have the chance to avenge that loss and the fans would love to see it. Either way, it's good for us fans that Lucas is still in the mix.
Spot on. Due to his slippage and the vulnerability he showed last night, I expect lots of challengers to call him out for a fight. First up will be Garcia or Pacquiao, both of whom beat the current version of Lucas like a drum. For better or worse, Lucas’s career is at the point big brother Walter’s was once Paul “punished” him. His confidence is shaken beyond repair.
