After he came back from the canvas to defeat Linares, what do you guys think team Loma will do? Are they going to stay in this division, go back one division down or go one division up to seek more thrilling fights? To sum it up: Who should be next for Lomachenko? In my opinion Linares came in to this fight very motivated and gave his best. For sure he surprised everyone including Lomachenko with his great performance. I feel like Lomachenko should settle around Lightweight for a little bit, before stepping up in weight. There are a few okay fights for him in the division which he can take.
By the way, Lomachenko's next fight is already scheduled — August 25. The venue is set as well — The Forum (Inglewood, California). The opponent is TBA as of now, but for all those who's been following the situation into the Linares fight, it's almost complety clear that it's gonna be Ray Beltran.
Bring on that stumpy little nasty gremlin Tank Davis. A vicious KO loss or even better a No Mas loss may humble his pompous ass a little, it may be just what the doctor ordered. Gervonta has a ton of talent and could be a force, but his repellent attitude is going be his downfall if he doesn't get that **** sorted out, and an embarrassing schooling may just do the trick. Maybe there could be a rematch in his future when he's older and wiser after Loma has aged a bit. Which could be a decent narrative to build that fight around.
probably Beltran........................he will beat Beltran, hate to see Beltran lose his title, hope he makes a good payday
I think he'll unify versus Beltran & then go back to SFW for Davis. Fine by me. He gets a pass for having an easier fight [Beltran] next having just destroyed two of the best technicians in the sport [Rigo & Linares] back to back. Beltran is a solid B level LW.
Beltran most likely. Then maybe winner of Garcia vs Easter. If not move back down and face Davis or Leo Santa Cruz
P.S. I added Crawford, Garcia & Pac just because there are a lot of people on the forum saying that Lomachenko must face them now. I am really glad they are still not on this thread. Such fights need to be built up with making some tune up fights firsts, like the one that is coming against Beltran.
I agree that he should face him but don't you think Lomachenko just entered a new weight division and that he needs at least one more fight to settle himself up? Beltran sounds like a good stay busy fight in August. I am even thinking that until the end of the year Lomachenko - Garcia will happen. ( if the promoters don't **** it up with a fight like Loma - Pac )
