He's been inactive for a year.
Many saw him defeat Berto, and give elite guys like Hatton and Mosley(till he broke his hand) trouble.
He's tough and slick...a good contender for a champion and an exciting fighter to watch. His stamina is poor and doesn't have knockout power.

Just wondering what do you think and should be his next move?
I want a Berto rematch then have him go Gomez, and build a resume in the welterweight division and challenge Mayweather or Pac, most likely a loss for him, but just to have an overall established boxing career.

He said he wont be moving back down to 147 because it is too difficult to make weight. He is now a 154lb fighter. Hopefully he takes on a top 10 contender then goes for a title

Thats interesting i havent heard anything on that !!!! hhmmmmm , i was gonna say why not Tim Bradley @47 should he decide thats his destiny (Bradley that is) .

On the 54 scene , its looking pretty hot at the minute , you'd have to think he'd be looking at the world title picture , but a usefull addition to 54 IMO !!!!

I feel bad for Collazo, Kinda like he is too "Good" for his own "Good".
His style, The Southpaw factor ect...

He is the opposing fighters promoter's nightmare.
Hard too look good against him.

That said, I don't see to many fighters taking him on.

He defo has the style to frustrate Margarito that's for sure but can he maintain while taking the amount of shots it would take to pull it off?

Against Cotto, I think Miguel's style is a perfect fit for Luis possibly leading to a TKO win for Cotto. (Similar to the Quintana fight)

Luis doesn't mean to brag, but he smashed Berto.

He said he was moving up to 154, so a possible all New York showdown with Cotto at MSG?

Collazo had a chance against 3 top fighters and lost. He's a good test for any young up-and-coming fighters though.

Collazo is a good fighter he hasnt really lost any of his big fights decesivley.

I think anybody with a low punch output get beat by him I'd fancy him vs pavlik, cotto, kermit cintron, maybe paul williams and martinez

if he wasn't so hard to look at in the hatton fight he probably would have gotten the decision.

Collazo could fight someone like Powell to hop in a quick eliminator, but I don't know what's up with his promotional team, because I understand Luis has a legit job to get his family by other than boxing, but when it comes to the fight game either Luis is turning down EVERYTHING that isn't a HBO attraction or his team is neglecting him. Something needs to be done fast.

Its a shame, I really like Luis.
