One of my all time favourite british fighters true warrior, his classic battles against arthur and khan are 2 of my favourite brtish fights, i think if michael would of lived more of a boxers life he could of been a proper world champion. Whats next for him? how about battle of the legends gomez vs brodie?

    Retirement, hopefully...

He has already gone that bit too far, one would hope his fancy, would give him kudos for what he has done, and ask him to call it a day.

He probably deserved the challenge, the bookies would of said though, that he would walk in a big underdog...

He is retired and will never fight professionally again. I'm absoultely certain. He simply doesn't have it anymore. As for the Brodie fight -not a chance. Brodie always bossed Mike in sparring when they were in their primes and there is a great deal of respect between them.

Really? When I asked Gomez about Brodie he was about as complimentry as i've ever heard about another boxer. Have you watched the Brodie comeback fight :-( Looked like an old brodie in there.
