Dont understand why he is chasing Margarito when he beat him already, it should be the other way rounnd
Forrest has to fight Martinez, the WBC mandatory. If he fights Wiliams, there will be no title on the line. Williams might as well go for Dzinziruk. This is what he said he would do. He won the WBO Interim belt last night - basically he was fighting to set up a Dzinziruk fight for the WBO title. Should be a good fight.
Word. :good Still, I'd rather see him fight Margarito, so those two settle it once and for all. :deal
Same **** i was thinking... Angulo decided to take on ****-talking Mayorga though :bart :-( Hopefully after he finishes him off, he'll call out Kirkland
Its too early to start chasing middleweights, though I do think he has the size and talent to pull it off, plus the 160 division is very lacklustre. He shoud concentrate on 154 class for now, there is some decent fights there. If he gets by Phillips, obviously Dizzy (god knows how ya spell it) is the obvious fight for him. Dont know much about Dizzy other than the clips ive seen on youtube but I think itll be a close match, if not terribly exciting. Obviously Forrest is the biggest name there right now, ill lookforward to that aswel.
It has to be either Sergiy Dzinziruk or Daniel Santos if he wants to start making waves at 154. A win over either of these guys, and he could fight Vernon Forrest and then move up to 160 without anyone saying he wasted his time at 154. By the time he gets to 160, hopefully Abraham-Pavlik would've had their fight and Williams can fight the winner. Believe it or not I'd favour Williams over Pavlik, he has a similar workrate, but has sharper punches and is a southpaw/better boxer than Pavlik. Pavlik's size would mean nothing against Williams, whose reach is probably bigger than most fighters up to HW. Abraham on the other hand? Hmmm, I could see Williams hitting gloves for rounds, but can Abraham put him away once he starts throwing the bombs? Williams seems to have very good punch resistance, but this means a little less when coming up against possibly the hardest hitter P4P today. I'm sure there will be a lot of Williams haters around, but he's taking genuine tests on and has good skills, power and punch resistance? What's not to like? He avenged a (in some people's eyes) embarrassing defeat (although Quintana is not bad by any means) in stunning fashion and beat down a veteran fighter who many thought he could only outpoint (Phillips) I like The Punisher, though I don't think he's P4P top 10 material yet. With a win over Dzinziruk or Santos he'd break into my top 10. If he fights John Duddy or Chavez JR then Ill start hating on him not that we'll ever see that happening.
id like to see pavlik fight him they have the same style they both are tall big punchers with relentless attack i would have to pick pavlik in a late rnd stoppage
I love to see him fight Margo but we know hell will freeze over first.:-( I say he should take on Sergi Dzinziruk .
