I think Paul has a hell of a chance at 160 because he's slick, slippery and creative and I don't see many having those qualities along with size and power there... So warm up at 154 with another alphabet title and then go for the third weight class championship, hell yeah!

When I made this thread I was thinking about possible options and opoonents.

But, the fact remains that it is going to be difficult for Williams to get quality fights I fear, I said this before, if you was a promoter would you wanna throw your guy in with williams?

Find me a ranking system that doesnt have Forrest ranked number one??? No I think that MOST people have him as the top ranked guy at the weight, not just Americans...

You're a fool. Margarito already has 2 fights scheduled with Mosely and Cotto and a possible match with DLH or PBF after those which both would take precedence over a PW rematch. Its not that Margo won't fight, he just inquired about setting up the fight when it looked as though the Mosely fight would fall through, he's just trying to maximize his profits. What's PW supposed to do, just wait around until Margo's schedule opens up? A win over Forrest at this point who's seen as old and shot wouldn't do much to raise his status. A fight with Mora would be easier and would likely give him just as much exposure and less sanctioning fees. A fight with Dzindzurik is most likey since he's the WBO Champ and PW is now the interim WBO champ, but that's a stylistic nightmare against a guy who nobody in the US has heard of. He's going to eventually have to fight other top guys at 147 besides Margarito if he wants to truly establish himself and quiet all the talk of him being a one-trick pony. Who better than Clottey who is willing and available? I'm just being realistic. You're being an ignorant Hater.

Well first off if arum said that he wouldnt deal with PW wouldnt that include dealing with him in terms of Clottey??? Magro had an open schedule and turned down the biggest money fight that was out there for him...So what could Paul do to force him to fight???

Im not really a hater the thing is Im only doing to Margo and his fans what they were doing for a long time...The difference is Im actaully telling the truth...Margo isnt going to fight Williams end of story, and all you morons are doing is buying time...Hoping that Williams takes a lost in the mean time, with all this OH he should fight Pavlik and AA and all other top fighters at 160...I call bull****, Margo is no more a welterweight then Williams is but he dont have the balls to move up and fight....

Everyone knows this! Margo fans are clamoring for Williams to fight EVERYONE under the sun. Everyone that is, except for Margarito. Hoping and praying Paul loses so they can say "He doesn't deserve a shot anymore":verysad

Arum clearly wants someone else to do what his cash cow cannot.:thumbsup

Arum also said he was looking to put together a unification bout between Williams and Clottey two months after he said that about Williams. He's friggin promoter FCS. Margo's schedule is made by Arum who wants to milk the Cotto rivalry for all its worth and who also hates Al Haymon's guts. Margarito's team said that they inquired about the Williams rematch and were told by Arum that no real offer had been made. There's not much else he can do seeing as he's contractually obligated to Top Rank. The facts suggest its Arum you should be hating on, not Margarito.

No, you really are a hater. There is a huge difference between this and PBF. It's not like Margarito is going to retire anytime soon to avoid a possible fight or loss. What are you going to say when Williams-Margarito II gets made a year from now? Are you going to change your tune? I doubt it. You're simply on here to put this guy down in order to talk your fighter up. Weren't you one of the guys talking **** when it looked like Margarito's match with Mosely was off? Did you admit you were wrong there? I don't think either PW or AM belongs at middleweight, I'm just saying AA would be an easier fight than Pavlik. I'd like to see both guys fight as many top fighters as they can, including each other again. Facts are, Margarito has a big edge in facing top level competition in comparison to Williams, which is why he is number 1 at 147 despite the loss to PW. In order for Williams career to progress he'll need to fight and beat more top boxers than just Margarito. As a Williams nuthugger, you should want that.

Williams was willing to give AM a rematch until AM petitioned for a rematch. Williams then wanted to unify I believe, but could not get that fight, and Williams fought Quintana, and then said he would fight AM. Q won, and Williams had to settle his own personal business with Q. Goosen offers AM 4 mil to fight Williams. Now we hear Arum will not do business with Williams/Haymon because Williams wanted more time and more money for his fight with a middleweight. Clottey is said to have wanted the fight with Williams and Williams welcomed the fight. Nothing has happened since. A few fanatics said Williams ducked the fight. How did he do this when Arum wasn't doing business with Williams? Hmmmmm...

This is the problem. You being just a boxing fan truly in your heart of hearts believes this lol...

Why won't he rematch Williams is the question you need to answer. You heard Kellerman last night lol.

Williams career is doing fine right now. You are an AM nuthugger so we expect these kinds of answers from you lol...

forrest sounds like an interesting match for pw. all this bull**** about pw ducking margo and vice versa is getting old. promoters make the fights happen, not the fighters. a fight against the razor would be a high risk low reward for pw imo hopefully the fight against clottey does get made. i'd pick pw by ud

Nallege, everyone on here knows you're the HATER to end all HATERs.:fire = NALLEGE. Your opinion is the opposite of what everyone on here is saying unless they're huggin PW or PBFs nuts or hating on Margarito.

The only place I've ever heard that Williams was willing to give Margarito an immediate rematch until Margarito petitioned for it, is from you. Why the hell would they feel the need to petition the WBO if Williams had already assured him a rematch? And I already said why the rematch hasn't been made yet. You need to ask Bob Arum.

No point going after Margarito as he has prior engagements planned with Mosley & Cotto. Vernon Forrest is certainly the fight that I think makes sense moneywise and also risk/reward wise too. Forrest already lost to Mora and I believe Williams would take Forrest on pts at this stage. Then either Dzindziruk or Clottey as neither fight makes too much money, although Clottey probably the less risky fight as he is smaller and his punch output is alot less than Williams. By this time Margo should be free for the rematch unless he loses to Cotto in their rematch.

    check out fight news rankings

    check out cbs sports

that was easy man, and those are both American.

I'm almost sure that practically NO non-americans have Forrest at #1.

And btw if all you remember from those fights is that Forrest won them, then you need to watch them again. Esp Forrest vs Mora I, you remember Forrest won that fight? lol
