Povetkin just almost killed a solid fighter in Duhaupas.

But...Povetkin did just struggle with Christian Hammer, who almost KO'd him.

I heard there are lots of leaky sinks and bogs in need of repair in the Merseyside area.

    That’s where Price belongs

 Maybe you ought to rewatch that highlight package you posted. Povetkin in no way struggled with Hammer, unless by "struggle" you mean "failed to knock him out". Hammer landed about 4 good punches the whole fight.

No sir, I watched the entire fight. Hammer was working Povetkin in the mid-late rounds. That's that stamina coming back to haunt the big man. I understand totally what he's going through when you get tired and that power starts to diminish. If he let Hammer hang with him then maybe David Price has a chance if he doesn't get tired first. This fight will be won first by either guy KOing the other and then after the 6th it will be pure will power.

Eh, then we came away with different impressions altogether. Povetkin was never ever in trouble except for that a few years ago he would have been knocking a guy like Hammer TFO instead of winning a UD. I fear that his chances are getting slimmer by the hour against AJ, the dude is old, and getting older fast.

Povetkin is nearly 39 and only knocked one person out in nearly 3 years i think?

Write Price off at your peril!

Povetkin will knock Price out, Price needed a couple tuneups before getting his arse kicked by Povetkin!!!

Make that 3. Wach, Perez and Duhaupas.
His knockout streak didn't stop until last year

Wach was just under 3 years ago. Only Duhuapas in that time.

So slightly less as 3 years doesn't count, and Perez doesn't either somehow?
Come on! His knockout streak only came to a halt last year, and besides his loss to Wlad back in the day, he didn't have to go the distance since early 2012 (just looked it up).
Even Golovkin, Alvarez and Jacobs went longer without a KO win as Povetkin, and nobody expects someone like Khan to go the distance with any of them.

And you don't even need to have power to stop Price nowadays. Only thing you need to do is apply pressure after 4 rounds have passed and Price basically stops himself.
Povetkin has more as enough power to stop Pricey though

It’s a fact. He’s had one knockout in 3 years by fight night.

You don’t need power to stop price no. But I think he has a punchers chance.

I think there’s more chance of Price stopping Povetkin than Parker stopping AJ.

    Rudenko 2017-07-01 UD12
    Duhaupas 2016-12-17 (1 year, 3 months, 14 days) KO6
    Wach 2015-11-04 (2 years, 4 months, 27 days) TKO12
    Perez 2015-05-22 (2 years, 10 months, 9 days) TKO1
No it isn't. Boxrec is great for discussions like this ;)
That's what everyone thinks I believe. But the chance of Price hitting a homerun is like 1 in 20 in my book.
Not in the slightest. He does have a much bigger chance pulling the upset as Price has, if Joshua gasses again. Still I clearly favor Joshua.
