If he cant get Donaire, Abner Mares would be the best choice. A decent opponent at last for the talented Cuban.

    Thoughts??

Abner. supposedly, Rigo beat him in the Ameteurs and Abner would love to avenge that loss.

Rigo-Mares would be a greaat matchup.

If Rigo destroys him easy, then Donaires 'ducking' is warranted.

Mares or Nishoka if Donaire does not make the fight with Nishoka. Win against either then call out Donaire for 2013

You idiots still don't get it? He tried fighting someone credible in Cordoba and he ran like Mosley.

Mares is with Golden Boy so that fight against Rigondeux will likely never happen. Donaire on the other hand has the same promoter as Rigondeaux. Not sure if Arum wants to take a chance of ruining one of his big golden geese right away if he matches Donaire up with Rigondeaux.

    Arum wants none of it.
It's a great fight, and even though I think Rigo could pull it off,it could always go either way.Rigo's never gonna have a huge fan base so there's not much to build or hang around for.
If Arum wants the most from Donaire he needs to get him fighting Rigo AND Nishioka.
I fear Rigo could get caught in a vacuum here if he doesn't get a "big" fight soon.

question is : who wants to fight Rigo?
you hear *******s here bringing up Cordoba-only fight they remember of Rigo, wich Rigo won easy but didnt look great-reality is Cordoba is gone and Rigo keeps getting better.
Mares wont be sacrificed by GBP, Arce is still "milkable" by Arum,Nishioka only wants Nonito,WV2 and Marquez are fighting each other,Moreno is looking another direction,Agbeko is somewhere in Africa.
    Just tell me who

    Ideally, Mares, Nishioka or Moreno.

It looks like Nishioka will face Donaire next and the Mares fight won't be easy to make but those are three guys I would love to see him against. All top fighters with different styles who would be interesting match-ups.

Failing that, I think he has to go for Shimoda or Kratingdaenggym.

It would also be interesting to see how that joke of Donaire does against Kennedy or Cordoba for instance .

Fight someone with decent skills and someone that can actually jab and put

together some punches that lands on Rigo. Not the punching bags he be fighting lately.
