To be honest... right now Im so tired of seeing these multi millionaires show up, spar eachother, then celebrate with eachother that they just made another millie while they plot their next fleecing... that Im genuinely not even interested in seeing haney or garcia fight at all atm. Im really starting to be fed up with this era of boxing.
Exactly. Ryan, Teofimo and Rolly are all publicly friends with each other, they're just happy they're getting each other paid. Rolly looked like he didn't give a **** that he'd just pulled off a massive upset to beat Ryan.
Give up boxing, become an underwear model for Fruit of the Loom .Then, movies. Gets a role in The Expendables 10 and Fast and Furious:Cocaine Lane and finishes off with a cameo in Creed 9. Finally: politics. First, Governor of California and eventually POTUS. First President with a back full of tattoos.
Stick with ProBox cards. Hungrier boxers. Competitive matches. The best "just released from prison" round card girls.
I`d like to see Benn vs Garcia, after Benn`s epic brawl vs Eubank the British public might be interesting in Conor vs Garcia.
I think he’s been declining since after the Tank fight. He was solid for Campbell, Fortuna, and Tank. He then looked crappy in all of his fights after that, but was deceptively good against Haney because he landed some hooks and Haney couldn’t handle it. But Ryan’s conditioning was still crappy in that fight and his technical skill had gone out the window, so he lost basically every round where he didn’t land a big hook.
I think De La Hoya will try to organize Garcia - Romero 2. But honestly I don't think Garcia will ever do great things in his career, the talent is there, unfortunately the head is missing. There are followers but I don't think they will be enough to give him other main events (possible rematch with Romero aside).
Agree 100%. watching the lead up to this fight during the week, Ak and Barak interviewing Benn during the weigh in ceremony and they were all joking about how much money he made and what he was gonna do with the penalty money from Eubank, and it was all so grotesque and gratuitous. Totally tone deaf. corn ball behaviour all round. *at least Benn was in a good fight - but still, gross interview and narrative.
I genuinely doubt Turki would be willing to bankroll a rematch. The entire card was ass, and it looked like Turki was rather unhappy.
I feel badly for him. I don't think he was ever abusing steroids, and find it highly suspicious that this alleged trace of a trace of a trace of the stuff was discovered AFTER he defeated the then highly-popular Devin Haney, resulting in his defeat being overturned. I think he suffered ring rust last night after being forced to take a year off boxing. He should rebound, defeat Rolly in a re match, and move on with a stellar career.
