ach, I know Slip. Truth is, the Burns baiting has been getting on my nerves, its just went a bit TOO far if you ask me, and its turning REAL nasty. So I thought, if you cant beat 'em? Jion 'em! So have been enjoying a bit of good 'ole fashioned mud slinging at anyone in earshot! Rickys no Scotty Harrison, he lives & breathes boxing and is a true Rocky story, hes a great guy who any fan would love to meet, so he deserves a bit of defending here when the haters are pounding him, but my goodness the publicity for him nowadays makes me laugh!

I remember not so long ago Ricky Burns was an afterthought here, so maybe I really should stand back & say "Rickys doing something right when hes one of the most talked about fighters on brit ESB"...

Maybe your right, its maybe time I took a chill pill & avoided threads like the latest one I just read "Does Ricky have the most padded thread in the history of brit boxing" & just stick to being an elder statesman on here & let the kids smack talk:good

 

Pretty much no one's talking **** about Burns though, it's all for Frank and Morrison.

The only recent Burns thread I can remember seeing is the "Search Africa" one. How is that bashing Burns? He doesn't pick the opponents.

 

Its indirectly questioning Burns integrity.

I'd say that it's inferring that Ricky Burns is underachieving by not fighting top fighters (which he has shown he can beat). I.e. It's a FLY COMPLIMENT.

fair enough wallet my good man, I would love to believe it. However, I simply cannot, for aforementioned reasons. A Burns opponent baiting thread simply gets too much hits & posts for it simply to be a well wishing thread directed at the big bad FW(who I happen to think has done a fine job with Ricky) Burns gets it both barrels here cos hes a jock champion, the utter hypocrisy of people saying here that hes had easy defences & then talking up Crolla like hes a good defence???

The only conclusion I can reach is that Crolla was suddenly a 'good' opponent cos hes an englishman with the chance to get that interim soon to be full 'strap' that Ricky Burns holds. Apart from that, how was this guy thought of as a better defence for Ricky than any of his other defences?

No answer for the Crolla question I see

The general consensus is that Moses is a much better opponent than Crolla.

Crolla is a better defence than Sick Note Cook and 12 year old Evensen. Surely, even you, can see that.

 

& all this time, you havent even complimented me on my new 'war cap' avatar Wallet, with me trying to be "in with the in crowd" You & the brit ESB clique didnt even notice...
