He has two options, he either has a long hard look at himself, his company, how he has conducted himself over the last few years and the reputation he has accumulated, and he does something about it. Or he stays the same as his business peters out leaving a string of debts and creditors behind. In a way, his battle with ESB and the internet and general is a metaphor for his business model in general. He calls us "a small minority of idiots" when there are thousands of us posting and tens of thousands reading. I'm part of a small minority to him but I am a BoxNation subscriber and he's alienating me and insulting me by calling me an idiot for correctly speculating on his shaky and unfinalised cards. He can't get away with keeping things out of the public domain any more and lying about it, there's too much social media and international news sharing for him to just be able to feed the public the bits he wants them to know. I won't use the term "new age" because lets be honest, we're in a new age but still an age where the best fights mainly don't happen, I prefer the "old age" in the 70's and 80's when you actually got the best fighting each other personally. He needs to bring himself into the 20th century though, the internet is the best place for him to research what us fans actually want and will pay for, if he spent as much time actually taking these opinions into account and less time trying to launch legal battles to have them removed his promotional company wouldn't be failing so embarrassingly and publicly and fighters wouldn't be leaving him. He needs to come out with an apology and not a derisory statement or a denial about how he has done nothing wrong, then he needs to start restoring some of the damage done by giving fans genuine quality match ups and decent cards. Boxing fans might slate him now but if he delivers a Wlad/Chisora fight or a Cleverly/Dawson/Cloud fight and some good domestic cards all will be forgiven as we just want to watch good boxing, I have no personal agenda against him.
Small rumours of Dallas unhappy, met with schaefer and oscar in a chatham greasy spoon last week, it was HBO dates and the cost of roofing materials mostly but Tom seemed a little annoyed with Amir headlining the first UK show.
