hes not very hyped up considering hes come through in all his fights with the last few being fights people believed he would lose. Here are some reasons to love him

    1) fights more often then any other champion so we get to stay in love with him instead of forgetting about him and his excitement like most fighters. he stays on the tip of our toungue.

    2) makes all his fights exciting with his brute power and brutal attitude in the ring. his face does not change, he is all business even with blood running down his face and dripping onto his chest ALA Judah fight.

    3) Chin is solid, but to some its weak, making his fights even more exciting considering anything can happen at any time.

    4) fights ANYBODY, has ducked no body and talks to trash for the most part. is all about business, we never hear him involved with talks of money or anything. he lets his management do his job and he fights whoever is put in front of him, no complaints.

    5) after fights, is very gracious and even before. he always gives credit where credit is due and admits when things go wrong like after the Torres fight he was smiling and admitted that now he had seen everything a champion needs to see by hitting the canvas and looking up at the lights etc...

basically he is a fighters fighter and a fan favorite. all action, all heart, all warrior. anybody who talks bad about cotto doesnt like boxing and doesnt like fighting. i appreciate all styles like Mayweather, Hatton etc...but Cotto is just my favorite becauser he is all aroudn old school.

I like him. I'd to see him have to fight at a pace he's not comfortable with but I can't see who can make do do that.

Shane will land more punches on Cotto than anyone else.

Can Cotto stay up and stay on top of Shane effectively?

I respect everything about Cotto and his fight game. All business. I'll be rooting for Shane but am really worried for his health win or lose coming outta a fight like this.

well nobodys been able to do that yet because cotto doesnt allow it. he is so much craftier than people think. his style isnt even that orthodox but he uses old school shoulder feints, feet feints, eye feints, punches from all over. hes a sick fighter that still doesnt get enough credit.

I thought Arum pampered him a bit too long, but he's really stepped it up lately so much respect to him.

how was he pampered. he has been in against world class fighters since his 18th fight. granted not against elite fighters, but steadily stepping up in class each fight.

I agree, I wasn't knocking Cotto because his opponents couldn't make him fight at higher tempo. I just said it would be interesting if someone could....

Cotto is pure class, but Hatton fought him for one reason only the WBA belt, not the level of the opposistion which is sad but true.
