I think that Williams is a much more talented fighter and can fight different styles, I think that the second Quintana fight showed us that were Paul let him walk to him. Margo cant do that he is chin down winging shots and thats all he has, winging shots, great chin and alot of heart. Williams actually has some skills

 

Man! You use that smilie as often as people on this forum use the word overrated!

They have both size advantage, both are pressure, come forward fighters, both have high workrate, both have excellent chins, both give many angles when they fire shots.

Margarito's defense is his face.
Margarito NEVER takes a step backwards.
Margarito doesn't know what a jab is.
Margarito always fights easy for the first half of the fight.

 

Paul doesnt take punches to give punches.
Paul doesnt use his face as his defense.
Paul knows how & when to stepback.
Paul doesnt take the first half of the fight easy.

Saying Paul & fight alike is the same as saying Paul & Hatton fight alike.

 

Agreed. BUT as I said:

Both have size advantage over their opponents @ 147.
Both are pressure, come forward fighters.
Both have insane workrate.
Both have excellent chins.
Both give many angles when they fire shots.

Plus, Paul's defense is not THAT greater than Margo's. Williams has average defense.

 

Margarito doesn't give different angles when he fires shots. How can he give different angles when he fires shots if he doesn't even position himself in different angles. All his shots come the same way. He throws that long uppercut that always misses, that inside left uppercut that kills ya, and he throws wide left & right hooks. That doesnt sound like different angles. Punchers that can throw shots from different angles always have a decent jab.

 

He also throws the straight right hand quite often. Also, he varies his body punching, something you missed as you mentioned only head shots.

From what I know an "angle" means the direction a shot comes from. Margarito's punches ARE slow, but he DOES throw different kinds of punches.
