Like Badou Jack, Andrade seems to do everything well, even if he's not great in every department. He also has a high level of confidence, which lends to his poise in the ring. He believes in his abilities, and not in the Broner "I have talent so I don't have to work for it" kind of way. He seems to work hard and respects the sport. Although he has not faced the stiffest competition thus far, he is honing his craft with each fight. While he may not turn out to be great, he is definitely one to keep an eye on.
Never understood the hype. He's technically sound, but compared to the other top 154, I don't see what's special about him.
I've heard things like "he's Austin Trout on steroids" if thats the case, thats dangerous but either way idk. Can see him maybe ud Jermell but Jermall would be a tough task and I think he would lose that one.
I laughed when HBO called him a rising star in their most recent promo I mean he has been a pro like 9 years barely has 20 fights and hasnt fought anybody I want to like Andrade but yea
His latest showing against an absolute no name was a total meh. Solid but nothing special. He'll get beat by the elite 160 lbers.
One of those guys we have all known has some top skills but years and years keep going by and he doesn't fight anyone very relevant. Still waiting. But he is obviously skilled and nobody has ever seriously called him out for a reason.
Same way I see it. Dude should've taken his chances vs Lara. 160 is too crowded and the belts are tied up between unification and mandatories. Hard to see how he breaks through and gets the fights he needs there faster than he could at 154. They could make the Lara fight whenever they felt like it. I also don't understand how he gives up belts like he's allergic to them. It's like they're purposefully managing him as screwy as possible.
