What's so special about Freddy Roach?

    It really does make a difference when visualizing and predicting combat.

    I think it's also how he was able to get Pac to time Cotto's jab, by being able to predict it. As good as Floyd is, it's one punch I don't think he ever outright neutralized. Manny came prepared to do it thanks to Roach's reconnaissance.

    Agreed and the rolling under move that Roach always drills into Pacquaio served him especially well in the Hatton and Cotto fights. I thought before the fight that Cotto's bodyshots would stop the roll under but after he got drilled in the 3rd, he went off the gameplan completely and his corner couldn't help him.

    Roach is a master of the basics and one of the keenest eyes in boxing. Its just a shame that his time is so limited with each fighter that they are unable to receive the full benefit of his teachings.

    Agreed. I'd be living in the Wild Card. Before Pac got huge, he was definitely spending more time there, which is likely what allowed him to develop and add to his game.

    He's one of the best(if not THE best) mitt guy in the world and has a great mind for the sport.
