Inside fighting akin to how Duran, Armstrong and Chavez did it.

One belt per division, and fewer divisions. Back to the original 8 + Cruiserweight.

The one belt thing is more important though. No more shortcuts to a title.

Doubtful that any of this ever happens either.

Fights made and negotiated behind closed doors with all the I's dotted and the T's crossed, date and time of bout announced to the public, and the fight happening

I would like to say Saved by the bell but I know it´s dangerous to fighters so I guess not.

In addition to what has been listed so far (not to repeat) that the lineal heavyweight champion fights 4 times a year, like Mohammad Ali in 1975 and 1976.
And that projects under development (like Jalolov, for example) fight 10+ times a year like Mike Tyson in 1985 and 1986.

The old MSG. And nice buildings in general.

Generally if you look into the past people were worse but the physical world around those people was better.

    Hi Guys.
I want the old Reyes boxing gloves back, don't like all the fancy colours, and the shorts should have " Fernet Branca " across the beltline.
    stay safe

On the buildings part of that, how about the Blue Horizon in Philly?

I'd also add, more regular shows on Network/Cable/Streaming Sevices...such as was the case with USA's Tuesday Night Fights, NBC, ABC, & CBS as in the past. These days, any half-decent card is on PPV it seems.

Just a thought here, but is closed-circuit still a thing? Seems like it would be a lot more fraud-proof than today's PPV events, which there are many ways to stream for free. I remember seeing the whole Tyson-Spinks card (closed-circuit) on the big screen at the Sunrise Musical Theatre, and it was a packed house of about 3,700 people, and a great atmosphere. I believe that PPV should be rare, if at all, but I don't see why they wouldn't go closed-circuit to eliminate all the pirating.

The fights actually getting made is my priority but others are making some great shouts here, too.

All of it. I'd love to just the restore the physical world to what it was in 1920. Whether that be the natural world or the man made one It was a truly magical place to behold.

Your average person today is too introverted for closed circuit to return. People want to watch sporting events in the comfort of their own home and if they cannot do this most will not watch and simply watch the highlights after the fight. Venues can still buy PPVs and show them and the people who are interested in that sort of that thing are likely already watching PPVs at the bars and resturant that show them. All visual media used to be shown in theaters. Including the news. Today theaters are associated almost exclusively with movies. And movie theaters aren't having a wonderful time.

In terms of more events on network/cable TV cable tv is on the verge of death. Any alternative model to PPV will be streaming or something else. I loathe bringing up Paul v Tyson but something notable about that fight is it is going to be on Netflix not PPV. Maybe thats the next step for real fights. You pay a lower monthly subscription fee more frequently and get each individual fight for free.

Great call. The recent fight between Devin Haney and Regis Prograis was at 140, but Haney supposedly entered the ring weighing 165. There are many other similar examples. Crazy.

Now there's so many former champs that in some cases the introductions would take as long as the average fight.
