This is what I don't understand about you Nallege - how can you come onto one of my threads and give a great answer, some excellent examples there, and yet every other time I read your posts it's just obscenely biased, abusive and idiotic garbage????
Trust me, when you have been enduring some very hard rounds against a very competetive opponent , a crisp body shot can almost feel like a sickening gunshot that is going to take far longer than 10 seconds to recover from......
I'm like Popeye. I yam what I yam. I keep it real because I boxed professionally. I try not to get into arguments, but sometimes fans don't understand what fighters go through.
I do understand that....... It irks me too at times, but i guess sometimes, we have to look past that fact.. Fans just see it from a safe environment, a trip into the loneliest place on earth is vital for eveyone who loves this game to experience just once in thier life.. Its a very unique feeling and if you are from a very comfortable life , its impossible to adapt to.. Boxing is not something everyone can just learn to do.. Like dance, Its inside that rare few.. You are born with that kind of passion, and it either drives you , or you will crumble.. Its such a hard game and flippant remarks ie.. He's a stiff, bum etc , sometimes makes me grit my teeth.. No Bum ever laced on gloves as a pro, it takes a special person to do that.. God bless....
Pac regardless of what you think of me and wht I say about you, You make good points. You argue passionately, and I respect that. Sometimes you have to understand that people have their own opinions and their own logic and you have to respect that.
...bump. Didn't want to create a new thread..NOT the best body shot I've seen, but great body work throughout the fight. a 2 minute edit I made. Feel free to critique/grill me! This content is protected
The best body puncher, for me, was Chavez Snr. His double left hook to the liver was a real peach and a significant factor in most of his wins.
Till this day Amir Khan vs Maidana and Maidana rolling around to then get up after that is even more ridiculous
Live, well I was at a fight between Nicky Cook and Dazzo Williams for the British, Commonwealth and European titles and was sitting ringside, lovely seats, I was very very close to it, I had a perfect view of the shot between the ropes, perfect view between the referee and fighters, I saw the shot thrown, saw the shot land, heard the sound it made and it genuinely made me gasp. Quite a lot of people didn't see it, there was a sort of hush and then a cheer, it was a perfect bodyshot and Williams didn't get up.
Went and found it, hmm maybe it was because I was very close to it, still a great shot and made a very nice sound LOL This content is protected From 12 minutes.
