Should Ward move up to LHW or stay at SMW? And why do you think he should stay or move up? I find it an interesting situation mainly because at the age of 28, the SMW division has more or less been cleaned up. However, there's not a whole lot of depth at light heavyweight. I personally think he should stay at SMW for a while. Even though the division has been in large part cleaned up he could still do a Ward-Kessler II, Ward-Pavlik(even though it would be one-sided, if Pavlik beats an upper level or mid-top 10 SMW it would sell), Ward-Bute (provided Bute bounces back). Maybe after a couple of fights like that guys like Oousthuzien, Stevenson, and Rodriguez become a little more marketable. What do you think?
I would like to see a Ward/Bute fight to tell you the truth... i think Ward has enuf confidence to believe he can dominate Bute enuf for an obvious victory decision. Or may work on sitting on his punches for a stoppage. After that, his only option is UP!
